For the biggest COOL factor, I decided I'm going to make this car the first 71 SHAKER I have ever seen. Going to be a little work but totally worth it. Friends think I'm nuts so far. Probably right. Lol.

Put the Nasa hood on the car and it naturally looked so good that now it lives and the shaker is on the back burner. Name: photo 1.jpg

It is set Only a 1/2" from the leaf spring and the inner wheel well. I found an already narrowed 8.8 and had custom billet hubcentric spacers made to find the sweet spot. It Must have a sway bar or it rubs the top of the inner wheel well when turning. With the sway bar nobody touches, even in extreme cornering.

In for updates on the '71, or you should jsut start a new build thread for it.

However long you think your project will take, double it and you might be halfway right.

Thats impressive you got it in a stock wheel well, if I end up staying leaf for the moment I was already planning on a panhard setup so that I can get the largest rear tire I can without rubbing.

Transam racing back in the day was leaf and pan hard bar and look at how they threw those cars around. Good luck. I'm a fan of making the impossible happen. The 71 has 29" tall rear tires and I lowered the car 3" with a stock wheel well. The width is another matter and that's why I wide bodied the quarter.

Finished the basic design and going to start wrapping and applying the resin to the surface of the cardboard tomorrow. Should be fun.

Cut in brake cooling ducts. All the resin work is done. It's off to the body shop for final shaping so its ready for the fibreglass moulds.

Size: 155.2 KBSeats are back. Looks great. The upholsterer was impressed with the quality of TMI's materials. Fabrics and foams. Just need to set it out in the heat of the sun to tighten it all up if the sun ever shows lol.

Size: 131.9 KBDay one in Danny's shop where he takes my rough shapes and refines them. Does his best to make what I did look good and pretends like it's not a ton of work. Passion.
