How much weight does your spot caliper save compared to the internal drum style?

Spot Caliper VS Internal Park Brake

      Bryce,

Funny you should ask as I was just weighing some park brake items today!

Using a "New Style Big Ford End" Wilwood 2.5" offset internal "drum style" park brake assembly as our base............. 24.6 lbs. (pair)

GMR "Spot Caliper" Park Brake Kit w/applicable weld on caliper bracket............................. 13.6 lb.s (pair)

So basically there is a 11 lb. "un-sprung" weight savings to be had overall.

**But here is the best part, by taking nearly all of our kits weight out of the actual rotational parts and moving to the stationary.... you will actually save 15.4 lbs of “ROTATIONAL”weight! (Wilwood "Hat" = 18.4 lbs. per pair VS. GMR "Rotor Adapter" = 3.0 lbs per pair)

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

      Thanks, Jay
