Wow, you are doing a fantastic job with that car! I saw 1968 firebird taillights on a 65 fastback before and thought it looked good, but these ones look even better! Prepare your flame suit of someone on vintage-mustang finds a picture of them though... I'm glad you are keeping the ducktail, the fabricated one you linked looked like they were trying to make their trunk into a 67-68 fatback one.

There's too many purists or people who make boring shelby clones in the mustang following sadly. I will go over there and say ford should have made the tail lights that way haha!

I like those taillights on there. They would look way better on my 67 lemans compared to the stock lights

Why not just rent a uhaul car hauler and save the rush of putting the car back together?

It needed to be a roller and the interior was all over the garage. No rush here just "sticking" it back together so as not to lose anything/make the move easier.

I know others have said it, but the tail lights look great. It gives the car a wide body look.

So I'm thinking of trying to get these 17x9's to fit up front. Do y'all think if I push the wheel out far enough it will clear fine?

I wish you luck, my 17x8s with 235s rub and am going down to 17x7s, but my pony still wears a stock-style suspension with a 1 1/8" sway bar...

Time for wheel flares! You plan to repaint anyway might as well go full out on it.

I am on VMF too... great site for not tooo out of the box thinking. Once you get a little crazy I think it scares people away hahah.

I think you have seen my 408 fastback on other mustang forums, and were one of the few to comment. I think it deserves a little more love than it gets...but maybe im bias ;)

Great work on your project! Cant wait to see the finished product!

Haven't touched my car since I moved it over against the wall. And to make sure this page has pictures, here is one of my truck today.

I've been doing some research on subtle fender flares and this is what I'd like to roll with
