I'm going to black out the trim and body color the rear bumper after I shave the bolts. I'm going to do what makes me happy but I didn't want to go full retard, you never go full retard.

I think that would look cool. i do like your shade of blue, a little blackout & monochromatic smoothed bumper should be perfect.I say that as a gm guy whose not on here to insult fordsThe blue does set your stang apart from the crowd.

I didn't grind my welds on the mini-tubs, once I sprayed lizard skin all the weld beads disappeared..

I'm running the FR500's on my 65 Falcon. Looks alot better then the Bullits. I get many more positive comments even with the crappy old paint.

I vote Grabber Blue. I'm wondering how a Falcon would look with it?

I say go for it, beware people call it 'baby blue' 'sky blue' etc.

I get that GM comment more than you'd think, so I guess I'm doing something right! I appreciate it btw.

Have you considered maybe a grey or graphite for the trim instead of black. The grey tone is more complimentary to the blue than the harshness of black. Just a thought.

You know I have, I'd do a graphite like what Porsche uses on their trim. Black is just easier to make people comprehend. But, the black tail light panel sure looks good IMO.

I like the Grabber Blue. Graphite accents would look great. But until you are ready for repaint, you could do a satin black plasti-dip on the entire car. It would look pretty cool if you masked off some stripes in the grabber blue. So, game plan should be Satin black with grabber blue stripes until complete grabber blue with graphite respray is feasible.

Bolt on tear drop hood scoop, made obviously bolted on with polished stainless allen head bolts? Do a flat black stripe on the hood. Dumb?

Do you need it for clearance or just want it for the look? If for the look I would say go with a shelby hood/scoop over the tear drop.

Not a fan of the Shelby, it's over used IMO.

Look and clearance, plus my hood has a pimple from when I closed it with the wing nut all the way down (ouch!)

I bet it is pricey but doesn't year one make a hood with the scoop integrated. I think it would look better than a bolt-on set-up. Or see if you can find a steel stamping of the scoop and weld it in.

$700 for the CF version, $450 for fiberglass, $50-150 for bolt on fg scoop. I thought of making my own after seeing your hood.

Now your talking! Get out the saw and start cutting!

I wish you had seen mine in person (I have yet to locate other PT guys up here in Wisconsin) , someone to validate that it looks 50 times better up close than it does in the pictures. For some reason my camera shots never look as good as most of the others on here, or maybe my work is just not as good. Might also be that having them hosted on ImageShack hurts the image quality, where do you host your pics?

I use photobucket, but after I post pics I feel like its a horrible representation of what is really there.

Not really a fan of the teardrop look. How bout a cowl?

I use Picasa for photos. Much easier to use.

I saw awhile back someone grafted a Maverick grabber center into an early Mustang hood... it looked pretty cool to me.

I dig the AFX type teardrop. I also like a GT500 style dual opening. 67 and 68 both.
