Yes, I'll be painting it. Will be another garage paint job I suppose, just need to decide on what color to do or stick with the grabber blue.

Let's see..... I modified the leaf spring sliders, mounted them, set pinion angle and buzzed it in. I've pretty much just been doing body work when I do work on it. Classes just started up and my son and wife have been sick all week so nothing has really happened.

Did the sliders change the ride height any and how did you determine their location? I've been thinking about them on my 66 coupe.

I've read that the sliders are not good on the street. What is your thoughts on that? I really like what you've done. Lots of hard work. I hope mine comes out as nice.

Thanks guys. Sliders didn't change height from what I can tell. As far as street use, no idea. I bought the roller versions due to what people said about the nylon versions. I put them in close proximity to the stock shackles and also in that spot because I ran out of room! I could be way wrong but I went off if what other people had done, it should work.

You have no idea how many times I've gone through your thread. It's really given me some ideas. It's actually the main reason I went with 315's on my car. I'm in the process of narrowing a 8.8 for my car and installing it with a 4 link. Keep up the good work can't wait to see it finished.

Thanks I appreciate that. This semester is almost done so I'll have some time this summer to focus on finishing some things up. Lately I've only been able to sand on it for about 30 minutes here and there. I've been collecting efi and 5 speed parts right and left though!

No sorry, already sold it. You wouldn't have wanted it anyways.

Turbo? That engine bay is pretty tight with those shock towers. Are you considering a suspension change?

As of right now I'm considering leaving it and running small manifolds around the shock towers. I was cleaning up some stock manifolds I found and noticed one of the outer bolt holes has a crack in it, so that won't work. Maybe I'll step up to a bigger manifold. I'm just looking for 450whp on a mild, efi motor and with my parts I can do that, it's just getting everything to fit!! 10lbs of shiet in a 5lb bag right?

Just put a stroked 351W in there. That will easily give you what you want for a lot less work and be reliable.

As someone with a 408w powered 65 I can attest that the power is good. However, I too am putting a power adder on. You can never have enough!

Love this thread. Got an old ratty ranchero that I'd like to take in this direction
