Tacked one of the inner wheel tubs in to make sure the new frame rails clear the tires now. Tons of room!!

Made some progress: Pulled motor, repainted, getting fresh gaskets, studs installed, Trickflow heads and new oil pump. Also, picked up some Hedman shortie headers after I found out one of my manifolds was cracked. This motor can't have 40-50k miles on it since 1985! I'm having issues fitting the step down dowels on the heads but there is too much space (in my opinion) to not run the inserts. So now I have to drill out all 20 bolt holes, yay...

Engine bay will be getting cleaned up, holes welded up and the driver side apron replaced. Trying to decide between the typical satin black or glossy road race grey.

And don't mind the mess in the garage piled up, it's all new parts waiting to go on that I don't feel like stuffing in the shed or attic.

Question: my fuel rails are Edelbrock 3620's and call for a 3/8" NPT fitting. Well, 3/8" NPT doesn't fit, doesn't even start to thread. So I call Edelbrock up and they say the design was changed to a -6AN. Well that doesn't work really well either, there's no stop for it the thread to. So I tried the straight cut, o-ring style -6AN and it seems better but it sort of just squishes the o-ring rather than seating it in a groove.

Anyone have an idea what it really might be?

The AN6 with the o-ring should work. Earl's makes really nice ones just for this purpose.

The holes in your rail look bigger than AN6. The male nipple on the fitting in my picture is AN6. Take some calipers and measure it.

Very few updates, I started stripping the paint in the engine bay and welding holes, notched the driver side shock tower to clear the header tube, cut the headers and added V-band clamps, completed mock up of the turbo crossover pipe so now it just needs final weld and the wastegate added. I've been on travel a ton lately and putting a Vortech on my 95 GT has eaten up a ton of my time and resources, but its fun. I'll upload some pictures soon, not much to see though.

And since I'm addicted to boost, I tossed a Vortech on my 95 to make my drive to work everyday a little quicker. Makes 460hp/450tq at the wheels

Made some minor progress, started laying out injector harness and fuel lines, radiator hoses, turbo oil drain and other misc items.

Might hide the coil back here, I'll need to fab up an aluminum bracket to support it.

Rolled it out, put the hood back on (fun to do by yourself) and installed the flush mount Aerocatches. I'm very happy with them and they really look neat. I'm sort of bumbed that the paint pulled up in spots but the hood is getting repainted regardless so it's not too bad.
