I started working on my turbo kit. I'm using stock 289 manifolds flipped and smoothed.

Rotated the alternator up to free some room for the exhaust.

Upper mount location for both alt and power steering adjusters, I may come up with a better alternative, any ideas?

It would be cool to weld it up so they share a single center point at the bolt, would look cleaner than having the two separate.

However long you think your project will take, double it and you might be halfway right.

I had to cut a bracket off and there was also some large bump that looked like a heat port for something, smoothed those down. I will cost these in VHT and wrap them.

Like with a bracket or what? I just chose this spot because that's where both adjusters fall into place and clear everything.

Just thought that the center where they both tie to the block you could somehow have a single eye vs the two eye ends, but not sure if that would work when you go to adjust the tension. Otherwise I think it is a nice solution to clearing space for the turbo piping.

I think I understand what you're saying. My dad suggested a shoulder bolt, but it still has to sandwhich the water pump. I'll see what I can fit once I set the compressor back down. Thanks though, no decision has been made as of yet.

      UPDATE:

Picked up a Megasquirt controller with wide band and got rid of the fox A9L. The Megasquirt will allow me more control and self learning capablities. It also ditches the MAF so when I upgrade it's just injectors.

Plan is to run 80lb injectors and E-85 because I'm not running an intercooler at this time.

I started fitting turbo pipes and got my manifolds flipped and partially cleaned up. I'll be running the down pipe into the passenger fender and over the tire, dumping before the foot well. I'm picking up 4" pipe and muffler from a buddy this weekend. I switched from the SN-95 Cobra intake to a Spyder still carb intake with elbow.

Also, can one of the Mods please change the thread title?

INtercooler is mounted and trimming of the bumper is nearly complete. Also picked up a sigle 4" in and out Dynatech muffler, some 4" pipe/90's/45's and some 83lb injectors.
