I'm desperately in need on seats for my 68 Chevelle. My seats have no head rest and I'm always worried about being rear ended, I was in a very bad car accident 12 years ago and have a neck injury that will never heal...

What's the difference in all the seats? I'd want something to somewhat match the black vinyl in the car...

My door panels are black vinyl yet my seats are black cloth. You can get either vinyl or cloth, either would look great against black vinyl door and rear panels, IMO.

The difference is basically minor cosmetic designs in most of the seats.

New Planted Seat Brackets - these are built NICE. Made in the USA.

Recent seats I installed. These are the CPA1019 Black Cloth w/ Microsuede Insert & Grey Stitching.

I have those seats and brackets in my Chevelle. Very nice product. The brackets I feel are a bit over priced for being a piece of laser cut steel with some tabs welded to it BUT it is a very sturdy piece.

For $140 each, I don't think they are overpriced. The quality is there, these are all 1/4 thick steel with a nice powdercoat finish. The welds are superior as well. The nice part is they accept not only Cipher seat, but Sparco, Bride, Corbeau, Recaro, etc. So down the line if you want to swap seats, you wont have to get new brackets.

I'm very interested in ONE of the seat brackets, if it would lower my seat. Do you sell them individually? If I get one and it doesn't lower my seat, is it returnable and is there a restocking fee?

I don't need to lower the passenger seat, my GF already complains she can't see over the hood! LOL But me on the other hand, I'm 6'6".

The Planted bracket might lower your seat, I can't say for sure. It depends on what setup you are running now.

      Nice looking seats.

It seems they have two grades of seats. Those that run ~$399 a pair, and those run about double that amount. The higher grade seats all appear to come with dual lock sliders. Besides that difference, what else differentiates their two grades of seats? i.e. is the main difference the quality of the seat covering, and/or a different grade of foam, and/or something else?

The seats that start at $699 and up and very much higher end. The fit, finish, covering and internals are all superior. That is not to take away from their $399 seats, which are very well constructed and a great value, but the upper tier seats are just that much better. If your standards require that, it's worth the added cost.

TonySS, are you still selling the Cipher seats? It looks like this thread died about three years ago, but I figured I would ask....
I'm not a mechanic, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
