How many of you would commit to coming to this brand new road course for a weekend of fun? I have visited the track and Robert has even posted up some video of the track in another thread but I wanted to keep this commitment thread separate. It is brand new, if fact, not even opened yet, but some of us have toured it and it will be as good as or possibly better than Road Atlanta, if you have ever been there for about 1/2 the money.
Look at your calendars, see what you can do, then post up if you will commit to a weekend of new track time. My guess is we are looking at about $300 entry fee. Remember, that is for TWO days on the road coarse.
I live in Atlanta sign me up. I've 2011 sho have run in SCCA EVENTS. WOULD LOVE TO GO TO A POR-TOURNING EVENT.

I'll be there, but if I don't quite have the bones ($) to race at that time I'd be happy to volunteer to help in any way I can- track duties etc.

Maybe I can get some extra hours from Joe to afford to come and play.

Just curious, what are the expected safety requirements for this? I don't have the fireproof jacket and helmet yet, just my motorcycle helmet...

      PS- Welcome eleanorshelby and nickt93!

If it happens , it will have the same safety requirements as any of the American Street Car Series Events .

      It is my understanding ,

      For the slower class :
      SA2005 ( or SA2010 helmet )
      Fire Extinguisher
At least 3-point seat belt ( with a shoulder belt , of course ) .
      Rollover protection for convertibles .

For the faster , unlimited class:
      SA2005 or SA2010 helmet
      Fire Extinguisher
      3-point seat belt ( or better , like a 4 point or 5 point harness )
Some sort of roll over protection for convertibles ( like a 4-point cage or better )
      A Fire Proof Jacket
      Fire Proof Gloves
      Fire Proof Shoes

Remember , this is MINIMUM requirements , anything more is better .
