      New online racing simulator sections

I have created a few new sections for this. If anyone wants another one added please let me know.

Also, if someone would like to take the lead and set up some times or rules please reply here.

This is going to be fun.

My league experience is primarily with GTR2 and rFactor, so I don't know if iRacing has this built in or not, but in our leagues we always use voice communication software like Ventrilo (free download). Just need to set up a server on somebody's machine, and you can set up different "rooms" for the different types of racing going on. If things take off you could set up different password protected rooms for teammates etc. As far as I know there's no client limit - we had over 40 people on with no problems. Really made for a sense of community. As a matter of fact it was mandatory to use it in our leagues.

So the question is how to truly divide things up.
Since there is pc, xbox 360, and playstation. And a lot of these games run on both or all 3 systems. Maybe people should post what systems they run first when they firs right?? Not really sure though at the moment, my brain is not working to well lol

But I play xbox 360 and my gamertag is falkerandu

Anybody recommend a good game for Xbox 360. Used to race a dirt track game on the PC that had realistic peddle control and force feedback. Can't stand the fake throttle and such of the old games. I am mew to Xbox. Last video game I had was Nintendo 64. Thank you

IMO certain games such as GTR2, rFactor, Live for Speed and iRacing are only available on PC because they're "racing simulators". A lot of trouble was taken to ensure the physics are correct. Similar to Flight Simulator and more so -X-Plane.

The games available on consoles are just that - games.

Dave, I'm a big fan of Forza 4 but I do not like the latest installment Forza Horizon. I would try Forza 4 , it is a decent simulator and it has lots of suspension and engine tuning options.

      Right now, it's this: http://us.fanatec.com/RacingWheels?product_id=157

The Fanatec Club Sport CSR Wheel and Pedals.

If you buy it seperately its $200 for the wheel alone. If you buy it as a "special" deal, look for the button, you can get it cheaper. It also comes with a Shifter set, CSR Elite pedals (all aluminum devices, by the way) and you can get an inversion kit to make them feel and look just like normal automobile pedals.

I bought all the options, and never regretted it. It is hands down THE BEST wheel/Pedal combo I've ever used.

It has built in ABS on the pedal assembly even if the game doesnt support it, fully adjustable height, pedal weight, pressure, sensitivity, Steering lock on the wheel , etc... etc...

Oh and it works with PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.

So.. spend the money, buy it. You won't regret it! Period.

      GTR2 is ok on physics
rFactor is one of the best out there, reason why mayor motorsport teams use rFactor Pro as their simulator.
Live for Speed is pure arcade
iRacing is just a money thief but its popularity is there.

Race07 (and its add ons) is very good.

I can agree on this. I have had my good share of many wheels, and since i do my good share of racing games on all consoles I had to splurge and get the CSR. I do not regret it one single bit.

Does anyone have any thoughts on Grand Turismo 5? Can I run it on a PC? I want to get into some virtual racing but there are so many systems availabe that it is confusing. My first thought is iRacing but it looks kind of pricey.
