      Good day everyone,

I've owned this '69 Camaro since 2005, but have been mostly playing with late model performance cars since then. The '69 just remained on the back burner in my shop, aka parked on top of the 4 post storage lift. I've decided to go ahead and break the seal, and get this car built so that it can be enjoyed more. The convertible will be built to drive around in, and be taken on Hot Rod Power Tour when it is completed.

I purchased the car from a gentleman in TN, it is a running/driving car. The car is an actual SS (X55 SS-350 code) and it is an original code 72 Hugger Orange car. The DX1 stripes were also the original stripe style, according to the previous owner. The paint job on the car is what I'd consider a 6/10, just a low buck single stage respray that was done sometime in the '90s. My main gripe is that the body isn't smooth enough for my standards, and there are a lot of sanding marks showing under the paint. The hood stripes were also done without a stencil, and aren't straight or consistent. So, in order for this to be up to my own standards, it will be soda blasted down to bare metal, and reworked. Keeping the same paint theme, color, stripes, of course.

So, here are my plans for this convertible SS. I'll be doing 95% of the work myself, might even try painting it myself. With my parts hording disease, I already have most of the parts required to finish the car.

-Gut car completely down to shell. Load onto my new rotisserie.
      -Soda blast the shell inside/out
-Evaluate/inspect any panels that need to be replaced or repaired.
      -Body work / paint
-Use OEM front subframe, with modern components.
-Decide on which rear suspension setup to go with.
-Mini-tub rear for clearing 345 wide rear tires.
      -American Autowire update wiring harness
      -LS7 427ci engine
-Built T56 6-spd transmission (already have)
      -LS7 clutch (already have)
      -Vintage Air system
-Magnaflow dual 3" exhaust system (already have)
      -Hooker longtube headers (already have)
      -New standard door panels
-New Arizen houndstooth seats (already have)
-Spectra OEM style fuel tank w/ electric pump (already have)
      -New canvas convertible top
      -Install DSE subframe connectors

Anyways, here are the pics. Most people think the car looks done already. I'm pickier than most, however. Enjoy the build....
