OUSCI - Are you wanting an invite for 2012?

If you are dying to get into the 2012 optima batteries Ultimate Streetcar Invitational then show us what you would like to bring. There are two ways to get in. Be given an invite or win your way in at an event.

So, post up some pictures and tell everyone about your ride. No pictures? That's fine. Tell us what you have and would like to bring.

Please note: This is not a way to get invited. I do not decide anything. I just thought it would be fun to see who is dying to get in.

Who knows, maybe this thread might get the attention of the powers that be and some of us will get picked.

Since my falcon is finally driveable, it would be cool to go!

My falcon has my designed front and rear suspension.

I'd love to go, but there's no way my car would ever show up in a SEMA booth.

This would definitely be me bringing a 'pocket' knife to a gun fight! But they say its not the dog in the fight, but the fight in the dog!!!

      [ATTACH=CONFIG]53877[ATTACH]

      My lil-dog will fight with:
VERY fresh restoration. Bumpers will be on by SEMA/OUSCI
      6.0 lsx
Factory sub frame - all welded up
      Tubular uca/lca
      Qa1's on the corners
      Frame connectors, front/ rear sway
      ETC, ETC, ETC!!!

It may not be the biggest gun or the badest dog but it would surely look nice at SEMA and OUSCI...

I would love to be a part of OUSCI some day. I represent the young generation of pro-touring, and built my car 'Trackday' under a tarp over the course of 6 years. I have done many events and track days throughout California in the last couple years, and can't get enough of it.

I would greatly appreciate a chance to participate in the OUSCI!! I feel that my car would stand out in the crowd and perform well...and hey...it's not a camaro!!! I have plenty of on track experiance as I used to drive a 1983 RX7 in the SCCA Spec-7 class for two years. This would be a dream come true!!!

Here is my build thread to see everything that is going on with my car!!

I have been wanting to go to SEMA since I was 16, and just time wise, have never been able to make it happen. The optima event in my opinon is one of the coolest motorsport events of the year, I'd love to go, can't imagine anyone on this site that wouldn't. I'd love to bring my Mustang or my AMX if its done by then.

Well what might be the breaker for some of us is that the OUSCI rules state that the vehicle MUST be shown at the SEMA show proceding the event. So unless you have an in with someone. Most of us common/back yard builders are out. even if you qualify at a regoinal event. rules state it.

BTW: Some bada$$ rides here. Love the AMX. I'll post up some info and picts of the wagon, for you to laugh at.

Ron, if there is a qualified car for this event that hasn't gone, I say your Mustang is it!

Most of the cars are invited well before the SEMA show and then they show up the week of SEMA to be in the optima corral leading up to the event on Saturday.

Well another thing that I read in the rules is that the winners of the regional qualifiying events unless you have competed before you will not be able to compete in the OUSCI. refer to: http://www.optimainvitational.com/rules_2010.html refer to rule 3-3b. I am just stating what the rules say and it says nothing about vehicles qualifiying at a regional event will be featured in the optima car corral.
