3000 lbs doesn't sound too bad to me Ron. I scaled the Chevelle a few weeks ago and it's sitting at 3091 lbs, 49% on the front. I still have to install a hood, seats and whatever other interior stuff I end up with, fluids, wiring, front bumper, and I'm sure a bunch more crap! Prior to starting on my Frankenstein build, the car weighed 3769. If I'm not careful I wont' be far off that weight!

No build thread, this was supposed to be a quicky to sell. It of course got out of control.

It may have been posted somewhere in this thread, but is the front clip stock width C6?

I'm looking for the width over the tires to see if/how much the cradle would need to be widened for a 68 Impala. Track width is about 6-7" narrower for the C6 iirc but obviously the center of the Vette's tires is a bit different than the wagon wheels used back in 68 so that number doesn't help much.

This and the Stang are great builds. Have read both threads a couple times in the past. Good to see the AMX is getting close.

If I remember properly, the AMC is 72" outside tire to outside tire, with a 8.25" backspacing 12" wheel. Mustang is 74"

Thanks Ron. The width of the Impala is a bit over 79" so some different backspace will be in order.

Which means I don't need to run narrow brake calipers, which is nice.

Looking at a minimum of 315's square but would like to do the 335's. Fitting them under the tank will be no problem.
