Yeah, Ben has great vision. I think we clicked right away, so I'm excited to see what comes from this.

      Ouch! lol, j/k. ;)

Sometimes it's a little tougher but I think doing it right (or mostly right since these things are never REALLY done) the first time is worth it in the long run. Hope to see that thing on the track in person one day.

My latest parts aquisition: cam and lifter and Simple Shift trans controller... My motor has been balanced so now I need to drop off my heads, cam and lifters. Still waiting on my LH spindles. Ordered my Wheels from Jason last week, so I picked up a nice set of take offs to get the car tuned and the suspension set. New meats will come when its ready for paint.

Found some Bridgstone Potenza's just to get the car on the ground. My car has been down so long, tt will also allow me to do some necessary celebration burnouts without tearing up new tires...lol

I'll be making a parts run to the guy that is building my engine in the morning. He needed to clear some bench space, which also gave me time to buy some other things needed for my project. Hopefully my suspension parts will arrive soon, so I can gather some steam before the summer. I'm a little tired of sitting on jackstands.

Cam specs? Good to see progress. The rendering should be done this weekend!

Its pretty mild compared to some if seen. I didn't want something jumping me out of the car when idling cruising. This car will see some track, but not as much as street. The cam is Comps XE262 Duration218/224 @.050 Lift .475/.480. I'm looking for fun and reliability. Olds motors are torquey, so this should provide both.

Ok, looking forward to the final product.

I got a call yesterday saying my short block was ready, so I stopped by the machine shop this morning for a quick look. He's going to assemble the heads today after he double checks the surface. I had some machine work done by a previous machinists, but we had a slight falling out. I moved my motor to this guy which I found via a friend. I definitely feel more comfortable here because he knows Olds motors very well. 2 of his sons have 3 Cutlass' between them. I had it painted the blue that came on the 68 Toro motor just because....

Cool build! Where in the Big D are you?
The rule is measure twice and cut once. My problem is I still measure with a mic and cut with an axe!
