Wiring Relay for NSS with Brakes and Switch

Ever since I did the manual swap (69 Oldsmobile Cutlass), I've been using a simple momentary toggle switch zip tied to the column for my ignition NSS. I'd like to finally make it a bit nicer.

I'd like to wire in a relay in such a way that the brakes need to be applied and a small momentary button depressed.

      Is this correct?

30 - Factory purple ignition wire
87 - Factory purple ignition wire
86 - Tap into brake light switch
85 - Momentary switch to ground

Yessir, that will render the starter kill disabled until the switch and brake pedal are active.

      You're welcome.

I'd put a brake switch into the stop of my clutch pedal and use it as my safety. Car won't start unless clutch is pushed in.

Think it was an 3/8" hole and used an 80s S10 brake switch, spring metal cage to hold it in place, along with relay like you're thinking. Have a t56 and an using tilton 75 master.

Why not the factory clutch switch that mounts on the pedal?

      Hey Donny, could you elaborate?

This is my setup, used the switch for my P59 ECM, works as starter enable as well as cruise control disable.

Jeff, I have done them like yours before. When there is a factory switch available for that make and model, it is a lot easier. So for Nick's cutlass, I would just buy the factory switch and install it.

My clutch pedal arm has been modified and I'm not sure it would work with a factory item.
