The Rennlines are made for competition and are rated for Porsche's. They are Stainless and steel over the ricer ebay ones that are aluminum and steel.

DT, those Rennlines have a special Porsche thread....may have to have a machine shop make up something with the correct thread pitch so he can just screw them in/out as needed.

Some kind of stub off of the front frame and the same on the rear frame. Probably on opposite sides. Threads should be metric.

Off the top of my head the thread pitch was something off the wall and had a funky included angle in the threads so I doubt you will find any off the shelf bolt/nut that will work...and it seems to be a highly guarded secret...LOL

Granted these are custom made, $320 is a bit steep; when you can usually find nice tow hooks in the $100/pair range.

Guys, great find on the Rennlines. I ordered 4. Two for my Z06, and two for Unfair. I'll post pics about how I dealt with the metric threads...

John, did you see that they offer a universal version? Looks to be 5/8"x 11 thread.

      5/8 x 11? No, I didn't notice that.

      Dammit!

My Z06 has a 3/4x16 setup already, so that wouldn't have worked anyway.

I have a first gen camaro unit designed in my head and is in the plans to be one of the first things I start building with the new addition of the CNC plasma system. Hopefully within the next month I should have something ready to go. Just need to borrow a first gen camaro!!

Anyone got a link to the Rennlines universal unit
