I had looked into this, and the 68-72 Nova shares a lot of design characteristics with the 1st gen and googling the kick panels they look identical.

Since these use a pinch weld you have some wiggle room and can do some more precise trimming to fit.

But I can't tell you for sure, maybe someone else that has their hands on both cars can clarify it.
