That car looks real nice but the engine stamp number on that car is horrible.

Your right and i have talked to dozens of folks about it. I bought the car as a numbers matching car form i guy i have bought many cars from. Some say what you say others say that is how it was at times. I have the proctech plate for the car and a beat up partial build sheet. I have other numbers matching cars with full docs and i have to say none of the stampings are perfect.

That car has killer colors and options, damn shame on the numbers. I recently had one also that numbers was less then perfect, but EVERYTHING else was dead on. At the end of the day had to sell it as non number matching. Have you checked all the casting dates, casting numbers? They only made a handfull of LS5s and 1970 being hippies and tie die, basic black is a super rare color.

I have the m22 trans matches it has a partial vin that matches. The rear and axel matches ect.. But ihave to say the paint, body, interior is really sweet. Half of me wants to keep it and just pull the motor and trans and store it and go wild with the pro touring thing. I have a few other numbers cars but the chevelle is just a mean looking car.
