      icemanrd19 67 camaro

Well about 3 or 4 months ago i bought a 1967 Camaro from a guy in fort worth. Well Replacing a few nuts and bolts led me to ripping alot of the car apart. Currently the car is sitting apart and im trying to figure out what direction i want to take it.

THis was my old project but ive grown up now to bigger meaner toys

Gbar ,mini tub, 3rd gen iroc or z28 gear box
Start with the suspension and undercarage. Move to the engine bay then to the dash and painting of the interior then body work

I just dropped off the deposit and my car will start being rebuilt in two weeks.

My question is should i swap a ls1 or ls2 motor in the car? I will be putting a t-56 transmission in it. What is the best lsx motor to swap in this car with the least amount of work and why?

Hey Ice - congrats man. Looks like you took 'tear it down and redo it' route. Takes guts but in the end you'll have a great car built exactly to your specs. Good luck and follow your heart (read: welcome to the club and watch your checkbook). Keep us posted...

My car will be painted house of kolor kandy tangerine. This took about 10min so you guys could get an idea. Im thinking about either having my taillights like this by painting part of the chrome and tinting the tail light lens or leaving the outer shell all chrome and tinting the tail light lens. What are your opinions? Im starting to lean towards leaving the entire casing chrome and only tinting the tail light lens.

Keep in mind i will be tinting my windows 20% and blacking out the vertical trim on the window and 1/4 glass so it almost looks like one solid window like this

and my headlights are a rs headlights with black in the middle and chrome ring trim too. Sorta sticking with that theme. like this picture

so time has come to buy some more parts. What is the best narrowed fuel tank for my ls2 and quadralink setup? Pros and cons of each.

Im also looking for the best deal on billet fuel cap and billet tail lights. I would love to buy it all from one vendor

Sorry guys i havent been on in a long time. Body wise the car is ready to go. Just needs paint. I just ordered this subframe yesterday. unfortunately this took a huge chuck of change and progress will be going much slower now. Not to mention my wife told me 3 weeks ago we are expecting out first child.

another thing i just bought was my tank

new camaro fuel pump, notched corners, and good for plenty of HP

Will post pictures whenever i get all of my goodies instead of internet pictures. THank you matt at MCB.

Im going to have to hold off for awhile buying any major parts since i just spent alot and we have a child on the way. I plan on bringing the car back to my house so i can work on it myself. Major body work is done. My question is we still have to prime it, paint it and assemble and i need progress to go much slower now so i can save money. At what point sould i have my builder get the car too so that i can start putting parts on whenever i have extra time and money? Should i have him just prime it, paint underneath and the firewall, or what? I dont really want him painting the door jams or the firewall until i completely put the car together so that i know for sure that everything that i want to add is done and fits. I dont want any cutting on any areas already painted.

Im just looking for some overall advice.

Congrats on your first child! Was enjoying the build, but we know what's coming... (a long break between now and when you can get back to working on the '67).
