      spintech muffler guys?

Im thinking of getting them ive searched all the exhaust posts and I still want to know
Inside the car while idling or driving do they have that resonating, drone annoying sound?
I will be using some deadener inside my car and also running full tail pipes.
      Thanks

I love mine. I've got the short versions, 3" all the way to the tails, in a vert. I really don't think they're that loud. I love the sound and tone. Remember though, so much of the sound also depends on the actual engine in front of that exhaust. I would not consider changing mine.

I've ran the Sportsman XL and now the Pro Streets.... both dumped.... behind 500-700 hp small blocks. Love love love them. I don't think they really drone - they're just loud how I like em.

I'm running Spintech sportsman. My system is a 409 SBC makes 550Hp@6800. I have headman hustlers, 3" x pipe round to 3" sportsman ovals to under axle ovals behind the tire. The drone is a lot less than the flowmasters i had on before and they have a very nice unique sound. I love them.

I'm looking at the Sportsman 3000F and the XLF.... I like the fact that I can get them in a 3 inch thick case.... my car is gonna be real low and I hate having mufflers hanging down.

Wow - I didn't think that clip was loud at all - and I think I'm older than you, Tony!

Flash, my Pontiac (600hp 462ci) w/the Ram Air versions (similar to the Sportsman in 12" case) sounds a lot like yours, except maybe a touch deeper. No way I'd change them. I should also mention that when I'm out just cruising around, idling, pulling into/out of parking, I get all kinds of comments about how good it sounds. Nobody has mentioned that they didn't like the sound, but maybe they're just being kind.

37 here! I've had my fill of chambered noise.. I get a lot of thumbs up when cruising too but when I step on it, it just reminds me popping glasspacks. I can't wait to get the xpipe and magnaflows system hooked up in hopes that it'll smooth things out in the upper rpms.

I had 3" Spintechs on my '64 Dodge. It was fun for the first hour. Then the drone got maddening and I couldn't hear myself think.

If you don't want loud & you don't want drone...you don't want Spintechs!!

So let's just say that you're much younger than I. My spintechs neither drone, nor pop. Never a single, solitary pop. Running 3" throughout, with an X-Pipe. What motor were you running? I find that the build in addition to the muffler makes a lot of difference.

Just to clarify.. I'm running Spintechs with headers & x-pipe & 3" pipe all the way through. I like em...but they're not for everybody.
