Thank you for the kind words and I have learned so much from multiple forumns and various friends are Hot Rod Shops and I am still learning more every day. I am with you and my goal is to have the car started by Feb 19th.

Having failed tech inspection at a track once many years ago for a pressure regulator bolted to the firewall, I will mention that sanctioning bodies are picky about the possibility of fuel lines being cut by debris should something break through the bell housing from a clutch/convertor or whatever. So if you can keep your fuel lines out of the direct line of shrapnel in flight it'd be safer.
That makes perfect sense and I am going to try to keep it as close to the firewall as possible. The good news is this car will spent most of it's life going driving back and fourth to work and hopefully doing the Good-Guys Road Tour and the Hot Rod Power Tour. I have two other cars that I can track and one that is perfect for autocross. The reason I built this car is because I grew up driving around in my buddy's 70 Camaro as a kid and I had always wanted one. Or maybe I am just trying to relive my childhood memories.

      I Know I Know this is so not necessary ( 11-27-21 )

So totally not necessary but I did it and it looks really nice as it made the lines disappear.

While I cleaning up the lines I noticed the passenger side line was really close to the trans coolant lines. So added a couple washers under the bracket to raise the line up.

      So I think I am going to leave it ( 11-28-21 )

I have been going back and fourth on this for weeks if not months. Do I have Mario paint the Radiator, Fan Shroud and A/C Condenser or leave it natural for this version of the car.

Today I am going back and touch up all of the holes I drilled in things. No reason to let things start rusting.

So I learned this trick when I was still in High School. My buddy's father put grease on the core support body mount to stop the creaking that old cars made and still make.

Needs to be away from firewall or protected by thick steel if the line is between the engine & firewall. If you had something explode pieces would slide on the firewall surface.

I grease all the body mount bushings/washers as well as certain points on some types of frame connectors, helps prevent creaking.

The engine will twist in relation to the firewall every time the throttle is moved, and over time as the engine mounts wear that movement will increase. Keep that in mind when attaching the fuel line to the firewall because it looks a little tight in the picture. The OEMs run the fuel line down the back of the trans and run it to the frame back at the trans mount, since that part of the triangle (engine mounts and trans mount) moves the least.

good thing is our Ring Camera caught it and we submitted it to America's Funniest Video and they accepted it.

**** Post AFV airing I will add the video ****

So back to the drivers side and I will just do pictures as you all know what it looks like.

      Battery Terminal Options ( 12-01-21 )

I currently have the DSE terminal and I love how they look however is there something better is what my brain
keeps saying. So I jumped on some car audio websites and found some cool options.

I really like these as they allow you to connect ring terminals.

My Christmas Present to myself from my wife ( 12-01-21 )

So way back in February of 2021 I saw this 3D printed honeycomb grille on Taylor's 2nd Gen. I messaged him on Facebook and asked
him where and how do I get one. He told me he 3D printed it and he would be selling them. I was lucky enough to get in line to get one
and the quality is excellent and I can not wait to install it on the car.

Those battery terminals, I've used very similar before and they can be problematic. They aren't the easiest to get on and off since they use a rather small hex screw and if you aren't careful the screw head can strip. They also required a thin metal adapter (which was included) to get a tight fit on the battery terminal, which is just another point for corrosion to develop. And, they required regular retightening.

My go-to for the last few years, while they aren't pretty, are military style battery terminals. They can hold several ring terminals on either side of the connector, and with the rubber caps they aren't awful looking. They work well and last forever.

I agree I am not sold on them and heck I even thought about just putting another cut off switch on the top terminals.

I finally made the time to finish off all of the wire terminations.

I'm making sure all of the wires are long enough and I will need to replace these ring terminals as they are not the correct size.

Since the Shifter will be going in soon I figured it was time to look for the harness and I had tucked it up neatly under the dash.

I really want the Radiator Cover from Anvil so I am adding this to my Christmas list and hoping my wife buys it for me.

      I am blaming Ron for this ( 12-14-21 )

So, I have wanted these upper control arms since I started building the car. After talking with Keith at Custom Works Performance
for years I finally pulled the trigger and ordered a set. I also ordered a set of Tall Ball Joints and once I received them I ordered some
      ARP Hardware.

I picked up some zinc coated grade 8 washers since one of the arms was missing the pivot shaft washers.

Those battery terminals look a lot better than the first batch. I think they'll do you well. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the stuff on there.
