This may seem excessive but WTH I am doing it anyway (10-16-21)

As you all know I have issue's and because of that I gently removed all of the screws from the Notchhead clamps so I could put a
little grease & paint in them to hopefully prevent the holes from rusting.

I put a very thin coat of Duplicolor paint and primer in one in all of the holes as this would be the easiest way to apply paint without getting it everywhere.

Holley Sniper Injector Harness Cleanup ( 10-16-21 )

I have one of the early Holley Injector harness that has a white tag for the injector number which is just ugly so I rolled each label and
then wrapped in clear electrical tape. These will be hidden under the Tech-Flex wrap.

I printed new labels that I applied to each injector plug. However, they will most likely fall off but it will just make it easier to put them
where they belong when I plug everything in for the last time.

I also redid the wire wrap so the wires would be hidden from view.

      Optima Mock Up Battery ( 10-21-21 )

I knew these existed and when I asked the optima guys at Columbus Good-Guys last year of course they said they would call me
back. However, no one ever called so I took it upon myself to find an empty optima battery Case.

Trans Coolant Line DEI Heat Sleeve ( 10-21-21 )

Hopefully this will be the last time I have to move these lines.

I installed the DEI Heat Sleeve over the soft lines as they are near the Edelbrock Shorty Header.

Final Fuel Line Connection To Fuel Rail ( 10-24-21 )

Having to make the last cut on the fuel line was fun and yes I was worried about cutting it to short.

When we build in the intake tube we are going to weld tabs under the tube so we can zip tie the MAF wire harness under the tube.

Yep, I am still playing with the Trans Coolant Lines ( 10-24-22 )

I found these clamps on Amazon and they do a great job securing the lines.

I'd suggest moving the disconnect to the negative terminal on that battery. And, assuming the second set of wires on top are going to the fan. Is there a fuse/circuit breaker for that pair?

Ya know I have been going back and fourth on this for weeks if not months. For years I have done it this way but that doesn’t mean it’s correct. Any chance you can help my brain and explain to me why it should be on the ground side. Which I feel is where it should be.

The same reason that GM went to ground switching - inrush current. It's harder on components to have current rush through than it is to have current present. Think of it this way - electricity acts a lot like water in a hose. Voltage is like pressure, and current is like flow. Say you have a 100 ft water hose that's empty, and you turn on the faucet at the wall. When you open the hose sprayer on the other end, it jumps, kicks and spurts until the hose is full. For a short time, you'll even see more pressure on the hose than the water main makes due to the water's velocity as it goes through the hose. When it slams into the end, it pushes pressure back down the hose until everything equalizes. That would be a positive switch. On the other hand, if the hose is already full and you pull the hose sprayer trigger, it sprays smoothly. That would be a negative switch. Inrush current will act much like water rushing to fill an empty hose, and it apparently causes enough problems that GM was willing to spend the money to retool every car they make to use positive switching.

About the only place you'd want a positive switch is on a racing emergency disconnect - the idea being that in an emergency you want power killed completely. The disconnect should isolate both the battery and the alternator from the power circuit because the alternator should be connected directly to the battery and not passing through the disconnect. When the disconnect is opened, the alternator's output wire is no longer connected to the car's electrical system. An emergency battery disconnect is only concerned with not catching fire, not component life.

      Thank you Thank you Vimes

      Thank you, Thank you

I am not sure you could have explained that any better for me as I feel like i completly understand why and this is why I love these boards.

So on a side note what is your toughts on leaving it and just adding another one on the ground since I don't have a master disconnect ?
