Wish I would have run my LS harness through the middle of the firewall as you did. But it's too late for all that now.
Yours is looking killer. And nice progress.
And the grommet assortment, OMG I bought two different kits and still ordered several more off of McMaster Carr. I'm grommet poor lol.

      Hi Jason,

I so with you on the grommets as I have purchased at least 3 different kits and 5 or 6 small bag assortments and a bunch from McMaster Carr. My only regret is that I didn't place mine lower on the firewall as it would hidden from site but a bitch to get at.

I just looked through your thread and your car is amazing and I love the grille. I think your harness going across the lower part of the firewall will look good if use a nice stainless steel line clamp and use a couple of the bolts from your closeout panel to hang it. I have some really nice ones that are rubber coated & anodized black that would blend in nicely. Once the motor and trans are in your not going to see much of the harness.

Power & Ground into the Passenger Cowl ( 07-05-21 )

I am running an additional power & ground on the passenger side of the car. In order to keep everything neat and tidy I am running the wires inside the Holley Power/Ground wire loom.

In order to stabilize the wire loom I ran it through the grommet which I wrapped with Tessa Tape which was then covered with 3m Electrical tape to give it a finished look.

I didn't want a power source in the cabin so I choose to move it into the cowl panel.
Which should keep it out of harms way and still be easy to access.

I used a couple more Weld Studs to mount the power stud.

While the epoxy was curing I started working on the four optional wires that the Terminator X can trigger.
My thought is it is much better to run it now then figure out how to do it later.

I cut all four wire to an equal length and then installed a different color heat shrink on each wire end so I would know which one is which at a glance.

      Playing with Radiator Hoses ( 07-18-21 )

While I was at Good-Guys Columbus I ran into a gentleman that found an over the counter radiator hoses solution that may work in my car. I ordered them up to see how close they would be on my car and they look pretty good.

KD Hot Rods Radiator Hoses ( 07-31-21 )

So Kenny built these awesome steel hoses that I will most likely use.

However, when I had the Guys @ High Speed Welding redo the upper and lower water necks the upper is about a 1/2 inch to long.

I will need to address this at some point.

Dang your absolutely killing it on wiring. I'm about to be back on mine as soon as my daughters get a deer hopefully this weekend. Around here deer seasons stops everything lol.
But yeah I'm going to use some billet clamps for all my wore looms and my heat and ac lines. Both will be wrapped in black nylon braid and clamped the same way.
I know people normally try hiding it all bjt I'm going for neat and industrial look. Your car is bitchin keep it up.

Thanks Jason, I am actually having fun and always looking for cool idea's and things that I could do better.

Tell your daughter she better hurry up as we want to see more progress on Dad's car. I also agree with you on the hiding vs keeping things out so they are easy to service. I struggle with that as there is stuff that I want to hide and then there is stuff that I know I shouldn't hide. I will be going back to the drivers side coil harness and bringing the extra length of wire back into the car to keep it out of harms way.

Remember all those Yellow Wires ( 08-07-21 )

So you remember all those yellow wires well they need to go somewhere.

Which means I need to drill another hole in my freshly painted firewall.

If you have been following along I had a close call with the drill bit hitting the wire harness.

So this time I removed the blue wire that is passing through the firewall.

I am starting to like the aesthetics of the wiring harness ( 08-12-21 )

Admitting you have is the first step and I have realized that I have a problem with the wiring.

So I have a question for Holley. Why on Gods Green Earth does the Cylinder head ground wire need to be 18" long when it is only 4" away from the dang bolt they want you to connect it to. Then why would they give a ring terminal that is way to freaking big for the wire.

Second complaint. Seriously these fitting would be nice great if you could actually use them. If you actually tried to connect a hose to them it wouldn't allow you to bolt the intake manifold to the heads as it holds the intake up 1" because they hit the valley cover.

I am struggling with running the wires on top of the tank. I just don't fell like it is safe as the floor pan has been Rhino-Lined and it just seems like the wire are being crushed.

Since Holley wants this wire grounded to the back of the cylinder head. Why would it be so freaking long when it literally is only inches away from the bolt that it needs to go to.

I individually wrapped each wire in Tech Flex Sleeving to protect the wires from abrasion.

I plan to run the wires around the tank and secure them with the "Weld Studs" in multiple locations.

If it's contagious, because then maybe I can stay with you for a while?

Why don’t you run the wires through the groove in the tank?
