      Notch-Head Brake Line Clips (03-31-21)

Time to installed the Notch-Head line clamps. Drilling the hole in the frame with the itty-bitty drill bit is very very scary.

Finishing Up the Notchead installation (04-04-21 )

In order for me to finish the last couple holes I need a right hand drive drill and it is also nice to have an excuse to buy new tools.

      Holley EFI Wiring (04-07-21)

Jumping back on the Holley EFI Wiring.

      What is that song ???

Wire Wire Everywhere a Wire, Messing up the scenery, losing my mind.

So my goal is to make all of this look as clean as possible and work.

I've learned that is you write the not immediately and put it in the place that it needs to be there is a good chance you won't forget the task and get burned later.

I will be installing Tessa tape on both sides of this line clamp to stabilize the line so it doesn't move back and forth and pinch the fuel pump fuse. The Holley ECU has a direct power for the fuel pump which is very nice.

So if you are using the Tech-Flex wire loom this is the best tool for cutting it without it fraying.

Okay, typing this still makes me cry.

Back in February my best animal friend Shadow passed away unexpectedly. It was awful and heartbreaking. Shadow was born on the day I started chemo so we had a very special bond. I always felt that we were going to live out the rest of our lives together. Unfortunately, God had a different plans for us. I am sorry to say there will be no new pictures of Shadow (crying while I type this) just old ones.

Adjusting to life without a dog was just not going to good and my wife forced me to look at puppy's. I was so hard as Shadow used to go everywhere with me including work. He even went with me to my customers. Everyone loved him. A couple months later my wife found another Yorkie-Pom breeder near Indy and she put a deposit on one of the two males. We finally picked him up mid April and it has been very nice having him in the house. However, the last 6 months with him has reminded me why you have kids when your young as a puppy's doesn't sleep when you sleep and how can something 2.5lbs poop so much.

Instead of removing some of the original wire from the factory harness I heat shrink'd the ends and gave them a new home.

You just never know when you might need extra wires.

ECU mounting & Holley Dash (05-01-21)

Getting closer to final mock up of the ECU wiring

I started searching for the bracket that hangs the vintage air unit and I can't seem to find it. I called my Powder Coater to see if he remembers powder coating the bracket and he laughed as he powders so much stuff that there is now way he could remember.

After 90 minutes of searching I finally found the bracket as it was right where I put it last. (insert sarcasm here).

Installed it and mounted the ECU bracket which I made a long time ago.

I mounted the ECU and started plugging everything in so I could start routing the wires for the digital dash.

As much as I love the Autometer dash that was in the car I really really wanted the Holley digital dash. So I pulled trigger and bought the dash.

      More notes.

Apparently the trans ''Trigger" can't be connected to the same trigger as the ECU.

My goal was to work on the fan relay and well at least installed the radiator, shroud and fan. At some point I need to bring the radiator and the shroud over to Mario to have him paint it.

      Fan Relay 05-15-21

I removed the old wiring for the fan and installed a painless relay set up.

Eventually this will come out and I will install the pwm setup.

I really really thought the car would make it out this year (05-17-21)

So my plan was to have the car completed for the Hot Rod Power Tour.
However, that didn't happen but the good news is I did buy the tires and plan to have them mounted soon.

Step Four - Mount bracket using the ARP bolt and then thread in the smaller bolt so it acts like a stud in the bracket. That way if the small bolt
breaks all I have to do is replace it. I also don't have to worry about breaking a small tap in the frame as I have done that some many times in
the past that I no longer trust myself.

I started using a X-Acto hot knife to cut the Tech-Flex wire sleeve. It works good and if you accidently cut yourself it also singes
your skin so you don't have to worry about bleeding or needing a band-aid.
