Ok guys go check out these gauges,,,,http://www.speedhut.com/

For the record I talked to the very nice lady answering the phones, and for about a 45 minutes even.
Turns out the company is ran by grandson of Autometer founder, and they are offering USA made gauges , cistomer configurable kits.
You can get your car project name put in them or a custom logo of your business even.
The GPS speedos eliminate any connection issues, unless we get hit by nuclear blast killing GPS signals or satellites.
The neat thing I was mentioning/asking about was using the 3600psi gauge in brakes which can be done.
The other thing I mentioned was it lists the speedo as being able to do 1/4 mi times and speed, so I mentioned it would be nice to have 1/8th mile too and was told after she submitted it, while on the phone, that it could be swapped or even added so as to have both capabilities in the gauge.
I was asking her to have their marketing come look over us and maybe be a small presence here.
Heck if we can get some people interested maybe even a group by pricing, who knows.
But life time warranty, customizable and all sounds like a great part that would fit right in.

      So here it is again:

I was just cheking them out last night. I really like how clean the revolution series looks but wish they offered them in a five inch speedo/tach.

I went with speedhut for my camaro and they look great!! I put '2nd Gen' on the gauge cuz I haven't figured out a name for the car yet. I figured it will always be a second gen car and couldn't lose by using that on the gauges!! I don't think you can lose and they are HUNDREDS of $$ cheaper than Autometer.

This is no knock on Autometer but the customizable fonts, colors, and backgrounds with speedhut is awesome!!

I will post some pics of the setup in my bezel later tonight

Nice, I really like them - I might just sell the gauges I bought and use these instead.

I just bought a set about a month ago. I ordered them with-out the R and the speedhut logo on the bottom for a cleaner look.
Black face with white numbers that light up blue at night and a red needle to see better with.

The wiring is really simple. All plugs together.

All the gauges have lights that warn you when something is out of the normal operation range. You can set the light to come on when the oil pressure drops to low or gets to hi. That goes for all gauges.

The speedo I bought goes to 200mph and is GPS controlled. The little screen on the bottom has 0-60 times, 1/4 mile times, GPS time clock, elevation, compass direction, speed in LCD, peek speed recall, and turn signal with high beam indicator.

8000 rpm Progressive Shift dial (3 super bright LEDs).
Settable shift point. Peak RPM recall.

All the sensors included with plug and play plugs.

The plug in wires can be mounted in the dash or under for simple control changes to gauges.

The really cool thing is all the lights connect to this little red and white wire with plugs and are all controlled with the little knob control. The GPS wire is pretty long to place anywhere you need.

I've had Speedhut in my bookmarks for a while now. As soon as I saw their gauges, I knew they were the ones I was going to be going with. I love the idea of having the signals and highbeam on the speedo.

My question is.....Where are you guys mounting the GPS module? I assume it has to be mounted somewhere specific to be seen?

Found the price. I like them. I wonder if they can do a dual color face. Would like them to look somewhat like the stock Monte did. Like this:

With 55 orange & the KMH speed in orange too.

But then my other problem is the gauges other than speedo & tach need to be smaller than 2" so I can fit all in near stock location:

Scott, you might want to call Speedhut and ask them about that.

They have many options but I didnt see anything about dual colors.

Great pics 67 ls1! You went all out! I was incredibly happy with the nice price. Here are some pics of my gauges (speedhut) in an aftermarket bezel with pre cut out holes. 67, I went with the black face, white numbers and cobalt blue lighting(night) and red indicator too.

Note that the small gauges threaded rings touch each other. The holes were so close I almost didn't get them in the bezel. I would recommend that If you are going with an aftermarket bezel don't get one with the holes already cut.

      note the trim rings touching...

Not bad looking in the dash either.

It seems that these guys are pretty open minded and willing to hear your ideas.

Excellent gauges, we will definitely consider these for Sam's four door Chevelle project. Made in America does it for us too!

These look great and the added features are a great idea. I'm thinking these guys and New Vintage USA are on to something with their easily customizable gauge faces. That's one of the biggest down sides to me about Autometer, their names is splashed all across the front. They make great stuff but I'd rather not see the word Autometer six times across my dash.
