Tech is from 7 to 8, need to get car ready and teched. Also we have run groups, you need to register with Melinda, get car numbers, etc if you haven't already. Then as Norm said, just good to go over the car, get your head into the game etc.

9:30 Herb. I think we start carting at 10am, but want to be sure we are there in plenty of time.

Ok, cool! Thanks Bill; we'll see you there!

One more thing, how/when do we find out what our times on the road course were?

My wife Carol took about 2000 pictures over the weekend!!! I looked at most of them and there are some real good ones. Tomorrow after work I'm going to go through and pick out the best ones and upload them to my Flicker account. I'll post the link ASAP!

That was my first time on a big track so I can't even explain in words how much fun I had! I set my trip meter on my way into the facility saturday morning and when I was pulling out that afternoon I had 68miles on the car! The only way I can see next year being anymore fun is if passengers are allowed. I felt bad telling my wife she had to stand outside all day while I drove around by myself.

Here are the results from the autocross portion of the day.

      Autocross Results
Individual Runs - The software is limited to 20 passes, so some of you may have times cut off the results. If you like, send a message, and I'll dig the rest of your times up for you.

I just want to thank everyone for participating. You guys are a great crowd, and my crew and I had an awesome time at the event. Also, big kudos to all of you who have those beautiful machines and actually use them. I couldn't possibly imagine building a car of that caliber just to have it sit, however, I will admit I cringed a few times when a front air dam would eat a cone or two, but you guys just shrug it off and keep it pinned to the mat.

If anyone's interested, here's a video of some of my runs on the course.

      Again, thank you, everyone!

This was my first autocross in my monte and I am hooked!! I think you were the instructer who rode in my car. What a difference you made. Thanks again and see you next year!

Thanks for the kind words. I wasn't instructing, but it was either Ahren or Bill who helped you out. I'll pass the word along. To this day, I still bring an instructor along after I get a run or two in to get input on my line and technique. Having the video also helps for future events. For instance, looking at my video above, I should have been on the gas a bit sooner coming out of those sweeping turns.

I look forward to next year!

Yeah Thanks for the great autocross setup! I only had two runs (pulled right off the big track to the autocross, so car was getting hot) and my slow first lap was the only one that was recorded, LOL... can't wait to get out there next year and improve!

Why not bring it out to a couple of SCCA autocrosses this year?

You could probably run in novice class, but even if you end up running in the regular C-Prepared or E-Modified, it'll still be "seat time". South Jersey Region (the guys putting on the RTTS auto-X), North Jersey Region, and Philly Region all have events this year within fairly reasonable driving time of Central NJ. You would have to join SCCA, but dues are good for a year. www.autoX4u.com has an overall schedule.

And like Chris said, it's really satisfying to see these cars being driven around corners, and not gently so.

I realize that you might have had other things on your mind at the time, but do you think that a 25 mph drive around the perimeter access road, maybe out to the main gate and back would have helped enough?

I pulled off the roadcourse and drove directly to the line at the autocross... the car ran cool on the roadcourse (180*) but as soon as it sits at idle (in line at the autocross) the temp goes up (215*-220*)... especially after flogging it...lol

The problem was no fan shroud... def putting one one this week...

The whole day was an absolute blast though!!!!
