Global Tuner Grand Prix at Laguna Seca Oct 22-24

Picked up a flier at the Vintage Races last weekend. There will be a new Global Tuner Challenge event at Laguna Seca late this year. Oct 22-24.
I haven't read the rules but believe it's a Time Attack type event open to any street legal car, so a Pro-Touring type car would be eligible, just not sure which category.

      Laguna 9/6

I'm getting emails from NCRC that they are planning a bracket stylke event for the track day coming up. I guess it's a separate buy in to compete. and whoever gets cloest to their dial in lap time wins the purse. Interesting concept. Consistency is the name of that game guess.

Give a call over to Burns Stainless. I went through sound @ 108 there in May. Went back in June and passed at 99

I think this would be awesome. Car willing, I'm in. Would make a good season finisher (save OUSCI).

It looks super fun but I am underqualifed (for now). From the FAQ concerning qualified drivers, it says "If you have competed in Time Trials and Open Track events chances are you will be admitted to the event. Send in your entries early space is limited."

Your lucky day(s)! Website homepage says no db requirements for the weekend.

How many guys are thinking about doing this? I need to call GMG tomorrow, I'll check to see where pro-touring cars and the like would fit in for sure and what they would want to see. If enough people here go, it may be worth while for one of my sponsors to go out with a few shop cars, and I'll go to show/race in GT (and get my ass whooped if the ALMS/World Challenge GT cars do come out). Their shop cars are hot rods and classics, some stuff that's right up this forums alley (and some that's not )

Having trouble finding entry fee's. If it's $1250 I'm out.

If you print out the registration form, its towards the bottom. 1250.00
Also, my car would be Street RWD, some of the crazier builds MAY qual for Tuner RWD.

The tech guidelines have pictures and decent descriptions. Remember, you want to be classed as LOW as possible, to minimize your ass beating.

I'm stuck with GT3 class. The classification is pretty fare though. I fit in very competitively with World Challenge GTS, and that's what the GT3 class was kind of designed around
