All the years of deploying I was tossing away money paying storage fees for the cars. I finally did the math, The lifts pay for themselves, but I've outgrown my garage again. Life is short, enjoy it.

      How about this???

Water front property at my shop, the home garages and out the front door of the house.

By the way we are over 1300 feet from the river!

Wow! Sorry to hear about this - I hope the Water doesn't get any higher. I've been through a Flood before, not a good time!

Went back through this thread again after a couple of years - some great shops. I obviously need a second (and possibly third) job!

No big deal. That was 4 years ago.

I only had 4 feet of water in the shop,, 8 feet of water in the basement garages and 18 inches in the upper garages. Nothing in the house.

I considered the flood an "Inconvenience" on my part since only my basement and garages got flooded. Other folks had 8 feet in their house!

      It's all about perspective!

The interesting part is that the 510 WAS parked in one of the basement garages. I moved the car out of the basement garage and since it was raining I put the car in one of the upper garages so the car would not "Get Wet"! As the water continued to rise I was working on so many other things I totally forgot about the 510 in the upper garages and it still got a "Little" Wet!

I guess a "Little Wet" is a hell of lot better than totally submerged!

Here is the current state of my garage. Not pictured is 3 8ft high by 8ft long shelves and a mountain of parts waiting to go on this beast. 24 x 32ft seems to be enough space for now but sheet metal takes up a lot of space.
