      Recommendation for a compact alternator?

      Hey Guys,

I want to replace my craptastic 30 something amp alternator on my '67 Mustang. Any suggestions on a compact replacement of reasonable strength, say 60-70A? Does NOT need to use the stock mounts, I'll fab whatever I need.

      Cheers,

      Wes

The small Mitsubishi alternators work very well. Might be tough to find on that only puts out 60-70 amps though. They are powerful little buggers. I know at least one of the models they offer can be setup to be almost "one wire" easy. The only other connection is a single 12vdc input from the ignition switch.

Thanks Chris. I'll have a look around for one.
