      383 Lean condition?

I just installed a new topend kit on my 383.

With my old setup, it ran pig rich. Now, it no longer burns my eyes after starting up in the garage.

Its getting MUCH more air now and I assume thats what leaned it out, because no carb adjustments have been made.

The car screams, but how do I know if I am too lean? I am afraid of hurting something!

      All advice is appreciated.

Are you smellin what I'm steppin in?

Start simple and pull the plugs.

The general color should be a light coffee color.

Here is one step better for a few bucks more (definitely worth the extra few bucks - I've used both): http://www.jegs.com/i/AEM/017/30-4100/10002/-1
