Question for the 1st gen convertible Camaro guys - what is this?

Digging through my "collection" of parts from Camaros over the years I found these two brackets from a 67 convertible I had. Can someone tell me what they are? Something for the top assembly?? I looked in the Assembly Manual but there isn't a lot of convertible stuff in there.

I sandblasted and primed them and they are in good shape, very heavy. Theres a nylon bushing in the big hole at the one end.

Those are the brackets that hold the top cylinders, for hydraulic, or springs, for a manual top.
