Nice work! I've always loved the old Fairlanes.

I needed a little eye candy so I epoxy primed the back side of the deck lid and painted it SPI Red which is a pure red with no orange tint.

I did not like the way the spring hanger mounts so I had Brian add a couple of gussets.

      Starting to mini tub

The brace for the deck lid hinge attaches to the inner wheelhouse so Brian cut it off and welded it to the roll cage

How does the spring relo kit mount the rear of the springs? Just offset hangers? Is that strong enough?

That red is georgious. I was on SPI's website, and maybe I missed it, but I didn't see anything about colors or bases; mostly clears and primers. Did I miss something?

SPI stopped making base coats some time ago.

Brian has the left wheel well finished. Still needs a little grinding.

I did a little bodywork on the right wheel well.

New problem the torque boxes have rust.

Brian still has to finish trimming this

One torque box fixed. Sanded the inside than epoxy primed and welded a patch

It was a quick paint job and I did not get a lot of pictures. We did not wet sand and buff it.

The wagon has a 350 in it. The Fairlane will have a 390.
