The paint looks to have a very very slight OEM-looking orange peel, which I actually like. Can you detail your paint process? Yes, I like OEM orange peel on many cars. I guess it's because I've seen it so much on original cars - it's how you can tell original paint from repaints - most of the time

      Hi Foster,

      Thanks for the compliments.

The paint ; Usually the shop will have the final buff and the will use the 2000 sandpaper grit on the car prior to the buffing, but I asked them to delay the buffing 'til maybe 2nd quarter 2010 as I want to have a real DRY Up of the paint. Hence, the orange peel effect is still there.

We used Centari " Super Black " . In fact , the first spraying was done in early 2009, and after engine / suspension work, I had the car repainted with the same color. The depth is there !

The Process ; after undercoat and all, we did spray 3 times,,,follow by clearcoating 2 times.

The second / repaint .. we used 2000 grit sandpaper buffing, then spray 2 time and clear another 2 times.

      That's a lot of paint !

Is this the right way ? I don't know !

Meanwhile, I use ordinary AmWay for waxing. I've tried other brands but they tend to leave white residue on the surface ! And I still keep looking for wax that help keep the black as Super Black. Any suggestions are welcomed.

      Cheers,

      GM.

BTW, junior just bought a bottle of Turtle Wax for me to try.

It worked, almost all white residue is gone.

      The trial never end !

      Hi. Mr.V.,

      Good observation.

The cops are on our side. On the 1/12/2009 Muscle Car Meet , Bangkok finest had kindly provided a black & white leading our cruising ritual, and we provided a pad on the back...

      ... and all !

      FANGs@ At The Ranch

      Pics by Junior

Junior and his kids were at the ranch the other day for exercising.

It was fun-filled day for the kids, as after the shooting session, MaiThai – my nephew - got on one of the horses for her practice.

Please enjoy the pics, and pardon for the slow uploading !

      Cheers,

      GM.
