Doesn't get any better than that Nick! Feels good to thrash on a car you put together yourself and have it all hold up doesn't it?

Was great to meet you there in Indy, can't wait to do that event again next year already.

Your having an absolute blast in your GTO, and I'm jealous as hell. I'm dying to get the GA back on the road to do exactly what you guys are doing.

It is certainly a blast. Get yours done! It's too much fun.

Goodguys DesMoines was a blast again. This will be an every year event. They let us run until 9pm Friday and Saturday. The track was big and pretty fast. The "Duel in DesMoines" was pretty cool as well. I, of course, was no where near making the duel portion of it but I made both time cuts to keep running, so I got to run all day both days. The highlight reel was that I got to run my mom, dad, wife and a friend around for their first ever autoX runs. We got done and my wife said "ok that was really fun, i get it now" and my 65 y/o mom was ready to go again right away. 69 y/o dad was impressed. Haha. After all the racing, Saturday night there were fireworks to close it out and the kids loved it. This is an excellent event and a great time. If you're anywhere remotely close its worth your efforts.

Looks like a fun time for all, very cool! Sounds like all the upgrades paid off on the autocross track as well.

      Hi Nick,

Just wondering what parts you used to assemble this kit? I was planning to make a set with tubing and tube inserts, but this set up looks much slicker and I like that you used the stock plated rod from the pedal to the Z bar.

I used the stock pedal rod, drilled and tapped on both ends. That was a mistake as it flopped all over. I had to make a cup to go over the ball end that hooked to the pedal to stop that flopping. The rest of it is just supply house parts I found locally I don't recall the exact numbers or sizes. I actually sold that stuff last winter when i did a t56 magnum swap. Sorry i cant be more help.

Well since I still get questions here and there about this thread...at this point the car has

      -433ci Pontiac (575ish hp)
      -T56 magnum from SilverSport
-UMI Cornermax based suspension with AFX Spindles
-Viking triple coilovers and Global west upper buckets.
      -18x9/18x10 wheels
      -ProcarXL seats
      -Oil cooler/accusump
      -Wizard Radiator/brushless combo

Plus a lot of street and race time on it. I don't really get back here much but I do update my Instagram here and there. If you're interested check it out @NickLrodz_garage
