Where did you buy rear bumper?

Is the bumper fiberglass? How did you attach it to the coupe? Would like to do the same to mine.

      thanks,
      Morgan

I bonded the stock bumper brackets to the fiberglass bumper

It has been awhile since I worked on my car so this weekend we took out the 63 Galaxie 9" and narrowed it 2" so it would be the same width as a Mustang.

The rear was to close to the quarter in this picture

      After it was narrowed

Looks great. What type of primer do you use? I am at that point and its time to get some primer on bare metal.

I use SPI primers and clears on all our projects. I start with their epoxy primer, than use Turbo urethane primer.

I have been going back and forth on the front and have changed my mind again and have decided to use this one from an Eleanor kit

I wanted a cleaner look so I'm doing away with the the fog lights.

It's the new year I'm tried of not having a Mustang that I can drive so it is time to get this car running. I have gone round and round on engines and I do like FE's but I want something that I can drive and not have to stop for gas all the time. I have a 88 Mark VII that I bought new and was wrecked and has been sitting for over 3 years so we have decided to use the engine and trans in the Mustang. It needs a little cleaning.

Looks excellent! I wish I had the money to do all that to my '68 when I owned it. I have a '91 5.0 in my garage right now that I may end up using as a donor on an old mustang. Decisions, decisions.

Good call on the motor and getting the car running. I totally feel the same way about my Mach... I just want it done enough to start driving again and I'll continue working on it as I do. Fortunately for me, I've at least had my XR4TI to tide me over... when y'all gonna finish yours?

Glad to see you back on the 68. Certainly inspires me to work on my 67.

I don't know if I will ever be finished with my projects. The Mustang has been in storage we need to make room for it at the shop and start working on it in my spare time sometime this week. I need to finish the bodywork and paint it than install the drivetrain.

As you can see in this photo the bottom of the deck lid sticks out past the quarter and on the bottom it doesn't line up with the taillight panel

I added material to the back and sanded the front

I can't wait for paint either but I still have a lot of work before I can start painting. I spent today block sanding the deck lid trying to get it to match the quarter. I will be painting it SPI red the same as my Fairlane. What can I say I like red.
