      Anything to quiet exhaust drone?

Other than changing it completely? I have 3" duals with Flowmaster mufflers. Love the sound, but the drone in the cab gets on my nerves.

      Thanks

Yeah, deaden all the interior panels, floors and firewall first, doors, rear fenderwells, and roof will help too. Dynamat xtreme/secondskin damplifier + a barrier product like SS's luxury liner on the floor will probably make the most difference.

Edit: Forgot to mention, the trunk floor is also a big resonance spot, depending on how your exhaust is set up using some damping mat on that may make a big difference.

Scot, I've heard an X or H pipe will go a long way towards killing the droning. Just thought I'd toss that out. Not sure if you have one or not.

Sorry I forgot to mention that part, it has an "X" pipe on it.

I got rid of mine by going with Borla ProXS, thought I liked the Flow's sound, but when I got the Borlas barking, I'll never go back

The Flowmaster is designed to turn sound energy into mechanical energy, anything you do just moves the point where it resonates, its not really possible by design to make it go away.

Frank @ Prodigy has one somewhere. I have them on my big block but I had to dump mine at the axle. It's really nice for cruising but sounds great when you pin the loud pedal. Here is a video...\

Those are Magnaflows? That doesn't sound too bad. Which mufflers? I'm sure they have multiple ones like all the others.

Get rid of the Flowmasters.... I went with DynoMax Super Turbos. They have a nice mellow sound.

I thought about using the lizard skin on the exterior of the floor and trunk has anyone used it? Its supposed to provide heat resistance and Sound Deadening.
