      Nice ride you're building.
Ran across this the other day, not a Falcon but a 64 Fairlane. Thought it might um... inspire you a little.

      Two questions...

Where is the geometry for your three link?

And How did you attach your aluminum core support?

My dad bought a car this weekend, 1965 ranchero (the new tow vehicle after we build it), so I have bee distracted and did not spend enough time plotting out suspension. I will be working it tonight tho.

My aluminum core support is bolted on; therefore, it is easily removeable for engine swaps. There are a couple of tricks in the design that I have no pictures of.

      Cool tow vehicle!

I thought it looked like it was bolted. But did you reinforce the sheetmetal or is it not loadbearing anymore. Seems like it might be inclined to rip.

If you look closer, I would post a pic but im on my phone, you will see the tube on top is the load bearing structure. The tube is bolted and the connection is reinforced. The plates are really just stiffeners. And there is no issue with ripping out. There has been zero change in plate locations and no hole oblonging.

So as of yesterday I have a new direction with my 3-link. This will probably save me 30-40 hours of fabrication. I am exicted. I will post pictures when I can.

So the TSW wheels have way too much B/S and wont work on my car. So now I am rethinking everything, still trying to fit within the budget. Here is my new plan... http://centerlinewheels.com/wheels_d...=117&sw_id=946

      these wheels 17 x 8 in the front and 17 x 9.5 in the back with these tires...http://www.falkentire.com/Tires/Pass...nis-RT-615K-14 245 and 275

Maybe these tires would work too...http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

So what do you think? I need to pull the trigger soon. I guess I will be calling Jon at drivers Inc on monday.

I think they're much better than the TSW wheels!

      Hey Bryce,

How about something along the same lines as the TSW but with a cast (mag look) center and polished lip - the old school but still great looking Halibrand Kidney Bean:

Looks good what the weight of that wheel?

The centerline wheel only weighs 18 lbs for a 17x 8

Wouldn't you know it, I just went to the Halibrand site and it says the Kidney Beans are temporarily out of production! My advice would be to contact them via phone and find out what's up, or contact Wheelvintques (http://wheelvintiques.myshopify.com/...-lug-88-series) about their billet "Lakester", which is a knock-off of the Halibrand. You could have the center of the Lakester powder-coated or sand-blasted to kill the billet bling and leave the polished lip.

I don't know the weight but I'm sure the guys at Wheelvintiques would have it readily available.

BTW - My wife came home this weekend and told me about a '66 Fairlane, original 289/manual car with black interior; told me I should buy it! I think my wife's taken up crack, she's NEVER told me to buy a car before! I might have to check it out and put a pair of Lakesters on it myself!

      Bob,

I appreciate your help, those are out of my price range at the moment and I need wheels stat. Another project is stealing the wheels of the falcon.

Well I pulled the trigger and ordered the front wheels from centerline with a custom finish. Supposedly you can only get the custom finish if you order directly from centerline. I should see them in a few weeks.

So I put up 5 more flourescent fixtures in the garage, super bright now, I love it. The falcon comes over tomorrow and rear suspension will commence. Hopefully wednesday I will have some good pics to show. I will show the geometry graphs. Everything always takes longer than I think it will.

That's pretty cool (excpet maybe the color)
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming 'WOW What a Ride!'

The falcon is at my house, safe in the garage. I measured rocker flange height at ride then lifted the car on jackstands. I lifted front and back the same. This way I can make accurate measurements from the ground.

Wheels are off and went to my dads new ranchero. My front wheels are on order. Hopefully moking up the fronts this weekend!

The car looks really good in my garage. The new garage lights work great, no dark spots.
