Cool build ! I like we’re you going with it!
And Thanks for coming to the PSMC event way back when!

If you’re suggesting sending men with weapons of war to take my weapons of war, then I’m fairly certain that’s what’s called an act of war… and the definition of tyranny.which coincidentally is the reason for the second amendment to begin with!

There's nothing like hearing that supercharger whine. Like I said, that wasn't my original intent for the build, but now I feel like I couldn't have it any other way. Thanks!

Thanks David! That was the only one I ever went to, but I had a blast. I've never been able to field a car at one of those types of events, but maybe someday lol. Poor-touring ain't for the feint of heart. Lol

My neighbors have a Roush Mustang that they let me drive once around the block... the owner told me she would be disappointed if I did not “open her up” at least once... it is a mighty impressive power combination...
      Looking good on the project...

Thank you! I've got more pics, I just struggle to post updates from my phone. Gotta bust out the laptop every now and then. Haha

Been a while since I've posted any updates here but I'm still finalizing engine and transmission placement and modifications to the trans tunnel.

Not really. I've been working on sourcing some parts. Thanks for the interest though!

Oh man, I'm glad you brought this to the top so I'd discover it. My parents had a 1965 Galaxie and my first car was a 1970 Galaxie. I had a lot of fun in that enormous car. I remember 3 things about the experience:
      1) I got it to handle a lot closer to neutral by dropping the tire pressure 4psi in the rear.
      2) Learning to stop 3,800lbs with non-power drum brakes by bracing my heels against the toe board/floor bend and getting the toes of BOTH feet on that long brake pedal.
      3) In stock form with nothing but heavy duty shocks it felt like a unicycle when you cornered really hard. The back end would come up as it rolled and it seemed like the entire weight of the car was on the outside front wheel.

Oh, that and mile after mile of cruising back roads with up to 6 people comfortably inside doing various things which showed questionable judgement.

Cars are meant to be driven.

Coyote is looking good. I've got a '65 as well - done all the suspension (hotchkiss, Viking coil-overs, Pure Muscle, etc. dropped to the weeds (2"), even looked at installing '66 front clip cause I like the headlight bezels better (see photo). Have since put back on the '65 front clip but still debating until paint/bodywork. Had a 351c in it from previous owner - but just died on me yesterday! Always thought about a coyote swap ever since watching Kindigit. They cheated and used custom frame. Anyway - looking serious at doing the swap.
      1. Motor mounts - custom? or did you find someone making them?
      2. Is there a better year (donor motor) than others? I always heard something between 2014-2017 for easy aftermarket and availability.
      3. Drivetrain - I would stay automatic and prefer little to no trans tunnel mods - but I don't think that's possible. Maybe someone here knows better.

Love the build - keep going and good luck.Name: 20200620_103127.jpg

FWIW, the stock transmission tunnel is fairly small, especially if it's an auto car orginally.

I am using an M5R2, which is not really a very big transmission, and still had to do all the same floor mods that cheapthrillz did to his.

True enough, the C4 and FMX transmissions were really compact compared to newer transmissions.
