Nice. I have owned two third gens, but never when I had the money or the luxury of pulling more potential out of it.

I like that! It reminds me a lot of the '89 IROC I bought my wife when when we got married. We both loved that car.

they do have great potential, but unfortunately they got a bad rep from the white trash destroying them.
My fiance and I have a 90 Iroc that we are in the process of fixing up as a car for her. Shes actually getting really into it which is nice.

Here it is when we got it

plans include painting the green top black, lowering it 1.3", slp runners, msd iginition, reupholster seats, cd player and new speakers

      That first one looks great!

Most of them are still buried in weeds in front of a trailer home.

      Third Gens are great .
      I've got an '84 Firebird.
It will be a project car after I get the '69 to a good stopping point.
Those 3rd Gen cars can be made to handle easily.

That first pic does look pretty cool....I've had three first gens (in my younger years) and always liked them. They are fun to drive, I often think about getting another one to fix up, but have not gottne around to it......yet!

Only car i ever regret selling y '90 IROC with 5.7. I am looking for a decent one now for a semi DD to play with. If you want to see one expensive third gen, look up Nelson Supercars

Thanks Mark... I did regret letting that one go. It was a definite head-turner, but I just couldn't afford to keep it going. I will have another one day, but not right now.

They picked up that torch from 2nd gens. Now that torch is moving to 4th gens, which are deteriorating as we speak.
