It's an all original 5.7 IROC, including the paint, interior and motor and the car has 137k on it. It's been a daily driver all its life. The mods will be light, like wheels, tires, brakes and some suspension pieces. Maybe an engine mod or two also. Money is tight as I am just finishing a motor for my Firehawk and just finished a drag radial Chevelle.
Cool, look forward to seeing what all you do.

      Cool thread.

Here are pics of my 2 thirdgens. The GTA is all stock except for the pearl paint, 4th gen spoiler and the Flo Fit seats. Soon the GTA will get the TPI 350 from my IROC, along with a better set of heads. While the motor is out I hope to paint the engine bay and maybe the under side:

And my baby, my IROC. I'm building a 402 LS stroker for it with LS3 heads, intake, custom cam, etc. Plan is for 500+ at the wheels. T56, 9" rear. Engine bay is currently flat black but will go back to body color when I do the swap. Under carriage will get the full treatment while the car is apart too, but I'm still deciding whether to do it red or black.

Pic of the interior, which will be getting some love after the motor upgrade:

And for fun, a couple pics of when I bought the car:

      Weekend projects aren't.

Nice stance on the IROC...............what setup did you use to achive that?

I like the 4th gen spoiler on the GTA too!
      Thanks!

      Thanks Tony.

      Rundown of mods-
      KYB shocks/struts
Spohn - swaybars, LCAs, Panhard bar
      Hotchkis lowering springs
      Moog components
      TDS Wonderbar
      Edelbrock strut tower brace
      SSBC Brakes
      SLP ZR1 wheels
      BFGoodrich Tires

Rebuilt 700R4 with TransGo shiftkit and upgraded internals to handle up to 500 hp
      MSD ignition box and components
      Ed Wright Automotive reprogrammed chip
      Flowmaster exhaust
      March underdrive pullies
      K&N filters

      Repainted couple years ago
Replaced all emblems, front turn signals(get hazy looking after years), replaced RS grille with Z28 grille
      Tinted windows
      Procar Seats
Grant steering wheel, leather gear shifter, replaced interior switches
      Replaced weatherstripping
Replaced windshield (rock chips, etc. after 20yrs)
Still have plenty to do, as these cars are never done. Will eventually replace engine. Undecided if I want to put any money into the engine right now, when I can save that for a future engine. Also want to get tubular control arms installed shortly. Debating about switching springs to get a more lowered look, not sure if I'm completely happy with the stance right now.
Added some pics I took few weeks ago.

      Mine's steadily reaching towards completion

still pondering between 4th gen seats & recaros.

the recaros seat a lot better but the others are electric and have lumbar.

      exhaust is all done

Did away w/ the bimmer wheels. Most likely I'll end up w/ BBS replicas, this is a photoshop. IRL would have larger sidewall/meatier tires.

Very nice. I like those Recaros a lot. I wouldn't think there would be any competition. Power seats are just one more thing to go wrong.

Those Recaros are awesome. I would go with the Recaros, not just for aesthetic reasons, but the support will be much better than the factory seats. Look forward to seeing more man.

The IROC has Jamex lowering springs, along with 100lbs of stereo equipment in the trunk. I think the rear springs have about had it, but I've got a spare set that's ready to go in next time I've got the car in the air.

Love those recaros. I would use those hands down. I had '97 TA seats just like those in a car. They were nice too.

Some good looking cars here. I have a 88 iroc 350. 76K orig. miles. non modified. I'm not sure what direction i'm going with it yet. I cant decide between restored to orig. condition. Or modify it (LSx/T56).

THANKS ! .. I used to run 17" Cragars on the car, BUT these just matched the "style" of the car better (and were MUCH lighter !)

Nice looking car.......first time I heard of Jamex springs though so I will have to check them out. Stance means everything as far as I'm concerned! That car was rough! Good job!
      Thanks!

That is a killer RS.....nice and clean. I am not normally a fan of the ZR1 wheels, but they look killer on your car. What size are the wheels/tires/spacers you are using? They just fit perfect and I might go that direction on my IROC. While I'd love to have Fiske's for it, that budget isn't here for this car.

Here's a couple shots of my previous B4C 92 RS......not really a Pro Tour car but it did come out slick.
