      Here's mine

Personally, I love my 3rd gens. It does get frustrating not getting any respect at car shows and such. I hope my car is helping to change the stigma.

Yep, I was there. I was at the tech seminars for the new Camaro when the rains came, hood and windows down. Drove from Louisville to Indy and back and averaged 25 mpg. I do love my LS1 and six speed.

Took me a while, since I had to clean years of gunk from under the hood, But I wouldn't go back to a old style small block.

We're always looking for these cars for the magazine, but have a hard time finding them in magazine-worthy condition.

I have a soft spot for third-gens and currently building one; granted it's not a street car, but I do have my eyes open for another one.

Also, we built one for LeMons - fortunately it survived to see another event.

That said, if anyone ever wanted to get one - there's plenty of nice ones available for a decent price.

I love third gens. I have a 1986 Trans Am and my bro has a 87 IROC.

It is easier and cheaper to make these cars handle amazing than any other american car.

Brian I like the look! Since you have to paint the front spoiler anyway, update to 91 -92, and maybe try and shave of the "air vents" for pre- 91 side look, with the more aggressive front?

Is that 82-84 Z28 hood? Looks like it, but non-functional?

Thanks, I was thinking about changing out the front spoiler too, but in the interest of money we are gonna keep it all 90 (since this is a budget project for my fiance and I). The Hood is actually the stock 90 louvered hood that we cut up to make functional. Wanted something different. It should help cool the engine compartment in the hot summers he we have here lol
