      Just the begining

      Hi,

I've been lurking for a while looking at the cool builds and stumbled across this thread. This is my 68 Impala as it sits now. I'm in the process of researching whats available for the direction I want to go.

I'm looking to do a restomod. At this point I plan to do a brake conversion, once I can find one that won't mess up my front track too much. I plan on replacing the steering box with a faster one, adding sway bars, decent shocks and see how that works out. Long term it will probably end up with Global West parts since they seem to have the best selection.

For power I'm probably going BBC since it would look right and I want the low end torque. Another option would be a 5.3LS so that my 327 badges are still accurate.

Just wanted to say that seeing the other cars here has been excellent motivation to come up with a plan and get started.

How many times have you heard this" I used to have one if those!!"....... No literally I used to have one if those 🤣🤣 I made some pretty cool LED HALO taillights for mine.

      Great looking ride to build!

I know this is a super old thread, but seeing the wagon made me miss mine more than ever. Great vehicles that continue to climb in value.

I’ve got this sitting waiting for a build. Love these 57 hardtop wagons.
