Can you comment on using these with an OE A/C kick panel vent system?

      Carl,

The can closes off the vent hole so I don't think these would work with the factory AC vent setup.

      Thanks,

      Do the kick panels

seal against the bucket? I would assume the bucket is put in the hole. The speaker is screwed through the kick panel, through the lip of the bucket, into the cowl. Does this make sense?

I guess what I am getting at is does the speaker seal off as to not run free air?

      Payton,

They are not free air but they are not 100 % sealed either.

Here are some pics of the installation.

We seal all the way around the flange with 3M strip-calk.

Install the can in to the vent opening. Fasten with 5 retaining screws supplied with the cans.

Slide the kick panel into place. Then you will need to drill two small holes and secure with two counter sunk screws Supplied with the kicks.

Next slide the grill retaining ring over your speaker and mount the speaker to the kick panel with 4 small screws.

Next snap your grill into place and you finished.

Alot of people have been asking how these mount so I hope this answers your questions.

One more of the kick installed.

If this pic looks funny to you it is because there is no dash in this car. This is a shell we are restoring.

Your flush mount tweeter should come with it's own mounting retainer.

      Thanks,

do they come with grills or do you only get to use ones from your speakers? if using ones from speakers how many different sets have been considered for trial fitment?
