Love the Mist Green - SO RARE!

Beautiful job! My first car when I was 17 was a perfect Light Mist Green Metallic '70 Chevelle SS396. It was also a rare care, because it was unusually optioned. For example, it had Factory Air, Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, Automatic with Column Shift and a BENCH SEAT! Since this was the standard Chevelle seat style, it came in a type of "cloth" material rarely seen in an SS. Most Super Sports that year were ordered with vinyl-covered bucket seats and the center console. The seats and full Vinyl Roof (another option) were "Dark Forest Green". Also, the car was NOT ordered with the "Cowl Induction" option, so it came with the basic "domed" SS hood, but no "Rally Stripes", "Cowl Induction" lettering, or cowl "flapper" door. When I bought the car in 1974, it had only 15,000 miles on it and I paid a mere $1,500 for it! OMG!! Although yours is not an SS, it is probably as close as I'll ever get to seeing a car like mine again. (I also owned and restored a NUMBERS-MATCHING '70 LS5 SS454/4-speed in the mid '80's. It was exactly like the car in all the Chevrolet Chevelle SS brochures in 1970 - Cranberry Red with Cowl Hood & Black SS Stripes....)

Very clean car. Would make me think twice now about using that color if I were ever to paint mine again.

Love the color of this car.... You should bring it out to RTTS in April at NJ Motorsports Park.
