      Cool thread.
Mr Angrys post about his wheel coming apart brings up a good point. Just because wheels are expensive and forged does not necessarily mean they are safe or strong. Are there any D.O.T. specs that aftermarket wheels have to pass like tires?
Years ago I tried a set of the Centerline "rotary forged" wheels. They were light and supposedly super strong. One of the spokes broke just out of warranty (street driven only) and I was SOL.
Something I think is a big issue is making sure the wheels are hubcentric. I had heard the term but never knew or cared what it meant until I sheared off all the wheel studs on a big pothole (more like moon crater) on my old GMC Sprint. Luckily, I was going fairly slow and it did minimal damage, but it would probably have not happened at all if I would have had spacer rings so my wheels were supported by the hubs and not the studs. After figuring this out, I went to my local tire store to get some and they looked at me like I was crazy. They said it wasn't necessary and I told them I had a handful of broken studs that said otherwise.

my choice is moz. style 75, the dcm8. in 19x10f and 20x13r from custom wheels direct, they qouted me $3600 shipped in either mill or chrome finish. chose mill as i plan to refinish them myself. moz has a wheel designer page you can mix and match colors on the wheel and order it in any combo you want.
$3600 shipped is a steal for this quality!!

btw, nobody else get that style, or i would have to find another one, lol

+1 broke 2 studs on each rear wheel and bent the rest in my tt 350z nailing it and spinning the tires over rough pavement. got on the freeway and felt the vibration. by the time i pulled off the highway and stopped, my rear wheels were hanging on by a few threads!!!!

I haven't seen the guys from Oklahoma on here....

Billet Accessories Direct makes a quality product....

I'm a crossover from the street/sport truck scene (some of you might call them low-riders).

Not your standard pro-touring or hot-rod styled wheels, but very nice none-the-less.
