      My 79Z28 update

      UPDATE POST 26!

Well, I haven't posted in a while, but I also haven't done much with the car in a long time, but finally, after many years, it has gone to paint. And I have pics! The car is getting painted black, with galaxy grey metallic stripes. It should have some color on the body by Friday, but so far it is primed and the cage is painted.
Let me know what you think!

This is what I started with:

Fast forward to smoothed firewall and with motor/tranny installed:

Fast forward some more to right before going to paint:

And here is where it is at now:

I also have about 300+ build pictures at:

Thanks! It's not too often I see any later year second gens being built. I think they are starting to get more popular though.

I'm runng Global West UCA and stock lowers (I boxed them in though). I'm also running the QA1 coilovers.

The tires do look big but they are only 255 40r17 Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 tires on a 17x8 wheel. They don't rub at all.

I'll have to look up my backspacing, I don't remember it right now. It's whatever Centerline sells as a standard backspace for the 79

looks great. I hope to have my 79 T/A in the paint booth very soon. Is the color on the cage the same as the stripes are going to be. My cage matches the exterior color now and I would like to change it. keep the pics coming.
