      Adding power windows

      Hey guys,
I have a 65 GTO I am in the process of restoring. I have original crank windows and want to add power. I might buy an after market kit or try to locate some originals (i'll probably go with aftermarket). Due to the shape of the door I can't figure out where original wire grommets go or where the best place to install aftermarket wiring would be.....Does anyone have a 65 A-body with power windows??? any photos?? I would appreciate any advice

There should be a dimple in the door and the jamb which is a drill locating point.

Yes there is a dimple on the body under the push button switch..... I can use that dimple but the dimples on the door itself seem to be in a weird place and I don't know how a grommet/conduit would line up when the door opens and closes.

Added power windows, locks, trunk, etc to my 72 Chevelle conv. All the dimples were there. Probably need to see a car like yours w/power to get an idea of where you should be looking. I remember the rear regulators were way different from the original cranks. Good luck, Jim.

      Thanks,
I have been looking online for door jamb photos with power accessories......no luck yet. I have an assembly manual that is not too clear but looks as if the grommet (or something) goes somewhere to the middle of the door.

Ken, have a look at Electric Life. They are the best... and Frank at Prodigy Customs is a dealer for them.
