      4th Annual Pro-Touring Autorama Dinner...we're back.

OK...we're back online for 2009. Last year fell through due to a scheduling conflict, so the 3rd installment never was. This year's Autorama is from March 6th through March 8th. Let's go ahead and meet on Saturday, March 7th.

      4th Annual Pro-Touring/Autorama Dinner

      Time:
      5pm - whenever

      Location:
      Fishbones (located in Greektown)
      400 Monroe St.
      Intl. Center Building
      Detroit, MI 48226
      (313)965-4600
      http://www.fishbonesusa.com/

      The Plan:
Everyone get down to Greektown a few hours before the dinner on Saturday and park. Ride the People Mover over to Cobo and take in the show (show takes about 3 to 4 hours to get through). Then jump back on the People Mover back to Greektown and meet up at Fishbones at 5pm. I will reserve a table once I have a headcount (probably late February).

If you absolutely, definitely, FOR SURE, want to get together for some food and some suds then go ahead and drop me an e-mail at; [email protected]

Thanks. Hope to see you there.

Count Yancy and myself in for whatever. I may be able to talk Doug Cooper, Alan Johnson, Bob Johnson, and who knows who else to attend also. However, if Doug's car does win the Riddler, they may have other plans......hehe

Awesome. It'll be great to get together with everyone again this year. With the winter we're having this year I am REALLY looking forward to some pro-touring conversation. LOL!!!

I'll be there on Saturday sometime. Would be interesting to meet up with some others from this site... as long as you allow Canadians .

You must walk very fast to get through the show that fast.

      Can't go wrong with Fishbones!

Billy, I just want to apologize again for not getting there earlier. Detroit was a mad house tonight. People Mover was jam packed, Fishbones jam packed. Plus I had my son with me this year and he really bogged me down getting through the show. Not really his fault, his old man is just impatient. Next year I will make sure I have my cell number in the thread so everyone can get in touch with me if they need to. I felt bad that we didn't have a chance to talk with you, especially since you're a fellow Michigander. Won't happen again. I owe you a couple rounds next year. And I won't forget.

Aside from that, I want to thank everyone that came out this year for our tiny little gathering. It was nice to see familiar faces and meet some new ones from the board. I also might have to find another place for us to meet as it was apparant this year we should have had a reservation. Fishbones doesn't accept them for parties less than 20 so that might force us to another location. I got a year to find one that is in close proximity to the People Mover from parking and takes smaller reservations. Oh...and has great food too. I'll find one.

      Thanks again everyone.

I didn't make it over to the show until around 2:30-3:00. Border was awful and so was parking. Took us until about 7:00 to get through everything.

Would have been nice to meet up with some of you. Have to try again next time. Will be easier to do another event for me once I actually get something that runs and drives.

No problem Tony, Things were crazy yesterday with the wings game and everything else. I'm glad I at least got to meet some of you guys. We'll have to have a michigander gathering sometime once the weather breaks for the better.

My wife and i had a blast! Was nice to meet some new people and catch up with some that i had met before. Bill i wished i had have gotten a chance to chat with you more, but with having to check into the hotel, an insane people mover and a crowded resturant i didn't get there early enough. We ended up getting moved to a smaller table after some of you left, and a free round of drinks on the house!

Great, glad you guys enjoyed it. Wish I had more time to talk with you and the Mrs. as well but I had to get my son over to his cousin's house for a sleepover. I would have never heard the end of it. LOL!!!
