Sweet... another place to check on

I think I need to follow your lead and transfer an entire build thread here.... though mine is NO WHERE NEAR as clean as yours.

thanks for the compliments everyone. duane you should transfer your build thread over here.

for xmas the wife got me a tfs-3150800 trick flow air inlet elbow, a Mr. Gasket Master Cylinder Cover MRG-4573, and made for you wire looms MFY-5035611.

my mom got me a $80 gift card to eckler's corvette, which i promptly used to buy a a7721 corvette lower shifter boot and a
51799 corvette upper shifter boot. these will work well w/ my syty center console.

awhile ago i bought a ctf-df039020 centerforce dual friction clutch. also picked up a motormite pilot tool 14523 and a motorite pilot bearing 14650.

      the above transmission stuff installed:

the top bellhousing fin ground off for more clearance:

fighting w/ the headers. they have to go in while installing the LT1; clearances are that tight.

      getting there:

intake set on just for grins:

      transmission and collector pic:

next up will be figuring out what to do about my transmission crossmember. i'm going to try to use my stock 700R4 crossmember, but if worse comes to worse i'll just make one.

also cleaned up, masked, and painted my 58mm TB.

      Great project!

I have a soft spot for 1st gen s-10s. One of these days I think I will swing down south for a rust free example and build it up.

Did I read correctly that you waxed your frame-rails? That is hard core brother!

thanks for the compliments guys, i do appreciate it all!

bought some stuff. sparco pedals, GMC grille, black powder coated grille insert.

gas tank installed. the 13g is so cute compared to the stock 20g :D.

i ended up using bicycle inner tubes as pads/dampeners for the gas tank. they were free (you can pick up old ones at any bike shop) and won't rot like whatever it is GM used as pads.

i've been fartin' around w/ the interior as well. going to go w/ an all black interior. the truck is a 1992, and the interior is (was) blue. pure 80s, so it's time to update.

also figured out how i'm going to mount the SRT-4 neon seats in my truck. i'm basically going to cut off the "feet" of my stock seat tracks, then bolt those my floorboard, mate them to the SRT-4 seat tracks w/ a couple of spot welds, then remove and finish weld. i can't weld, but my friend is getting pretty good at it so i'm going to give him a shot.

SRT-4 tracks on the left and stock s10 on the right. the blue tape denotes where i made my cuts. more to come.
