      "custom" line of replacement parts

      Hey guys,
I have been working on the mustang and started to think why doesn’t the replacement part companies like dii come out with a “hot rod” or “custom” line of parts that fit like stock parts but have a modification done to it? Like a replacement firewall that is truly smooth from one end to where the master cylinder mounts? Or doors that come with pre shaved door handles, extended rockers, or a line of quarters and deck lid for the 67-69 camaro’s that have the spoilers molded in, roof panels that have the drip rails shaved stuff like that, that the average Joe doesn’t have the ability to do or is scared of warping his new panels. What do you think about this? It may just be me but I think it could be a hit.

pro touring is such a small niche in the hot rod industry that I would think it might be hard for a company to recuperate their investment and make a return in a timely fashion... I agree it would be sweet though
